about

Sado Island (Japan) based composer Nozomu Sato's solo project 'plantar' releases a mini-album 'Forest, Sea, Harmony'. The work is a suite of chamber music for piano, alto saxophone and bass clarinet, and examines the connection between himself and the environment of Sado Island. Noh plays and Onidaiko drumming are part of the rituals of life there, and the cultural background and blessings received from the rich natural environment are incorporated into the work. Although the style is introspective and serious, it should be accepted as if you were listening to an instrumental piece on a pop album.

These music originates from Sado Island (Japan). ... more
